Henry Disston & SonsKeystone Saw Tool, Steel & File Works

THE SALE IS FOR NEW COPIES
THE ONES PICTURED ARE MINE AND MAY SHOW USE

Simonds manufactured handsaws between the early 1900’s and 1926. All Simonds used Warranted Special Crucible Steel, Simonds Patented Temper, and are taper ground. Simonds did not make distinctions between cast steel, refined cast steel, London spring steel, extra refined London spring steel, etc., like Disston did, but clearly the more expensive saws, like "Blue Ribbon”, used a higher quality steel than the cheaper saws. The Catalog includes catalogs, saws, saw blades, files, saw sets, swages, saw jointers, speed indicators, cane knives, machine knives, etc.

The Disston & Sons catalogue show a complete line of circular, crosscut and handsaws. Also saw-sharpening and setting equipment and tools, special knives, brick trowels, try squares, bevels, marking gauges, levels -includes a card with picture of enry Disston as as history on back. See image 3. If your into the earlier Disston saws including the 200 series of cone nut and custom etch saws. This is not covered in the later 1919 reprint.
